CONVOS That H.E.A.L. (Heal, Empower, Affirm, and Liberate) is an intentional space were brave souls come with open hearts to have real conversations that H.E.A.L. We are excited for our last gathering for the year 2020! We are excited to introduce to you CONVOS THAT H.E.A.L.: FOR FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS. Our mission is to create a safe, affirming, and brave space for women to discuss the complexities of and hopeful possibilities for women who grew up without their fathers present.

Bio: Dr. Satira Streeter is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the founder and Executive Director of Ascensions Psychological. Her passions are protecting Black children and strengthening Black families. As a certified couples’ therapist, she conducts “Art and Science of Black Love Workshops” as well as psycho-educational seminars focused on Black Psychology and healing from trauma. She is the proud wife of Kevin Corbitt and the even prouder mother of two sons, Kiye and Kole. She holds lifetime memberships in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Wilberforce Alumnae Association, and the Association of Black Psychologists.

Bio: Yasmine “YazzieSpeaks” Arrington was born and raised in Washington, DC. She is a 2015 graduate from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications and History. Yasmine earned her Master of Divinity degree from the Howard University School of Divinity in May 2018. In 2010, while a junior in high school, Yasmine founded the non-profit ScholarCHIPS (www.scholarchipsfund.org), an organization that provides college scholarships, mentoring, and a peer support network to children of incarcerated parents, inspiring them to complete their college education. To date, ScholarCHIPS has awarded over $250,000 in college scholarships to 61 scholars, with 22 graduates to date. Yasmine has been featured in TeenVogue, Essence, Black Enterprise, Forbes Magazine, The Washington Post, and the Baltimore Times, and on ABC7 News WJLA and NBC4 for her community work with ScholarCHIPS.

Name: Raven Maddox

Bio: Raeven Maddox is a native of Philadelphia, PA. She is a proud graduate of the first HBCU, The Lincoln University of PA where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Upon graduation, Raeven Maddox attended Drexel University where she received her Masters of Science degree in Family Therapy. Raeven's philosophy of change consists of "healing, growth, and restoration" of her clients and other individuals served in the community. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
